| | | At Cyclone Taylor Training, we focus our training into skill-specific areas we call zones. Under the supervision of our experienced trainers, students are guided through our proven training programs.
| | | Skill Zone
| | | This zone is made up of synthetic ice which is used for skill development and developing hockey specific fitness. This includes: powerskating, passing, stickhandling and shooting circuits, plyometrics, balance and quickness training, explosive power bands, slideboard program and flexibility.
| | | | | | Skate Zone
| | | This program works with the fundamentals and breaks down the skating stride with the help of video analysis. Using 2 high end skate mills, his or her stride develops faster, becomes more efficient and all around more powerful.
The skating stride is developed in three specific programs: Aerobic: Builds endurance in the stride resulting in better longevity throughout a game. Anaerobic: Builds power and explosiveness in the stride lasting 30 - 60 seconds. Game and shift specific: This program simulates a shift in a game situation.
| | | | | | Shooting Zone
| | |
| | | | | | Rapid Shot Zone
| | | This zone incorporates a shooting system called rapid shot. This technology will improve a player's hockey shot whether you are a beginner or professional. It requires the player to receive and shoot real pucks while the system keeps track of individual statistics such as: shot power, quickness, and accuracy.
The players will experience a fun and challenging way to improve his or her accuracy, power, and release, while also improving physical and mental aspects of the game.
| | | | | | Goalie Zone
This zone is a goalie specific zone where the focus is on the development of goaltenders. This includes: crease and lateral development, puckhandling and shooting, leg strength, power and quickness, flexibility, and hand-eye coordination.
